This is an opportunity to work with a next generation pharmatech company designing fast innovative drug candidates for critical diseases. This company has already delivered several drug discovery successes through various collaborations with pharmaceutical companies through their small molecule work.
We are looking for an expert Scientific Software Developer. This candidate should strengthen the computational capabilities of the company advancing their current infrastructures. Within this role, you will be responsible for applying and developing cheminformatic techniques to support the company's drug discovery projects. You will have a direct impact on the identification and optimisation of innovative small molecules. It is crucial to the success within this role to drive continuous improvement for cheminformatics infrastructures and algorithm implementation.
Expected Skills:
- You should develop and apply computational workflows (virtual screening, molecular property predictions, compound library design etc.).
- Multi-matrix collaboration experience, working alongside medicinal chemists, computational chemists and AI scientists.
- You will improve and maintain cheminformatic infrastructures.
- Tools must be scalable, efficient, reliable and regularly updated with new practices within cheminformatics.
Additional Expertise:
- PhD in a related/relevant field (software development, cheminformatics, computational chemistry etc.).
- Minimum 3 years industrial experience.
- Programming proficiency.
- Interdisciplinary communication experience - the bridge of communication between cheminformatics and software development.
- Data analysis and data visualisation.
