With a strong UK presence and continued investment in growth, they’re now looking for a driven Regional Sales Manager to win new business across the North of England and Scotland.

The Role

This is a true hunter role. You’ll own a large territory from York up to Scotland, opening new accounts, converting competitor business and growing market share across NHS and private eye units. You’ll have a well-established global brand and a proven portfolio behind you, plus the freedom to build your territory your way.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive new business across the North of England and Scotland, identifying and converting new accounts and competitor-held business
  • Build and execute a territory plan to grow revenue and market share
  • Develop strong relationships with ophthalmic surgeons, theatre managers, nurses and procurement teams
  • Run product demonstrations, trials and evaluations in theatre
  • Navigate NHS procurement processes, including tenders, frameworks and value analysis committees
  • Grow and develop existing accounts, identifying cross-selling and upselling opportunities across the portfolio
  • Manage a healthy pipeline with accurate forecasting and up-to-date CRM records
  • Gather market and competitor intelligence to shape regional strategy
  • Represent the company at regional and national ophthalmology meetings and events

About You

  • Proven field sales experience in medical devices, within ophthalmology or surgical consumables
  • A natural hunter with a strong track record of winning new business and hitting targets
  • Comfortable and credible working in the operating theatre alongside surgeons and theatre teams
  • Good understanding of NHS procurement and tender processes
  • Self-motivated, organised and resilient, with strong negotiation and closing skills
  • Existing relationships across eye units in the North of England and/or Scotland are a real advantage
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the territory
