Overview

I’m partnering with a pioneering early-stage biotech developing first-in-class in vivo CAR-T therapies with proprietary IP and a clear path to clinic. This is a unique opportunity to join at a formative stage, where your decisions directly shape the trajectory of a breakthrough therapeutic platform. Working closely with the CSO and founding team, you will lead cross-functional project management from preclinical development through to key strategic milestones. This is a role for someone who combines deep scientific understanding with operational excellence in cell & gene therapy, ideally CAR-T, gained in a biotech setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional projects from early discovery through preclinical development
  • Manage CROs and vendors, ensuring quality, speed, and value in delivery
  • Develop and maintain project plans, budgets, and timelines aligned to strategic goals
  • Proactively identify risks, troubleshoot challenges, and keep programs on track
  • Support strategic initiatives including fundraising preparation and partnering activities
  • Drive clear communication across teams, turning complex data into actionable insights for leadership

About You

  • Essential: Experience in cell & gene therapy (CAR-T strongly preferred) within a biotech environment is essential. Pure industry or academia is not the right background for this role.
  • Strong grounding in oncology or immunology
  • Proven success managing complex, multi-stakeholder life science projects from an operational perspective (not just scientific)
  • MSc or higher in biochemistry, immunology, virology, or related field
  • Confident in budget management, vendor oversight, and project governance
  • Clear communicator who can bridge scientific and business priorities in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial setting

Why Join?

  • Be part of a scientifically exceptional team with a truly novel therapeutic approach
  • Work directly with founders on high-impact programs at the cutting edge of immuno-oncology
  • Influence the full path from preclinical strategy to clinical readiness
