An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Medical Director to join a growing and evolving clinical organization within the oncology space. This is a high-impact role requiring an individual who can contribute immediately, with minimal ramp-up time, and take ownership of key clinical activities. The organization is undergoing a strategic evolution, combining internal drug development with external partnerships, investments, and asset-focused collaborations. Clinical development remains a core function, with a strong focus on advancing early-stage programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide medical leadership across two clinical studies
- Lead and execute in-house medical monitoring activities, taking a hands-on approach
- Act as a key medical expert within cross-functional study teams
- Ensure patient safety oversight and data integrity throughout clinical trials
- Contribute to clinical strategy, study design, and protocol development
- Support interactions with external partners and stakeholders as needed
Candidate Profile
- Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with experience in oncology
- Strong background in early-phase clinical development (Phase I–II preferred)
- Demonstrated experience in medical monitoring, with the ability to operate independently
- Comfortable working in a hands-on capacity within lean teams
- Ability to make decisions and drive progress in a fast-paced environment
- Full lifecycle clinical experience is advantageous but not essential
- Board certification is not required
