Full-time contract role from mid July to the end of December 2026. UK based contractors only.

Role Purpose: Lead the development and implementation of global market access strategies for innovative pipeline and commercial assets across the product lifecycle, with a strong focus on integrating payer requirements into evidence generation and development planning from an early stage. Partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders across commercial, clinical development, regulatory, medical affairs, and evidence generation functions to ensure clinical development plans and target product profiles are aligned with global payer expectations and support successful pricing, reimbursement, and market access outcomes across key markets, particularly in the US.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop forward-looking global market access strategies and value demonstration plans for innovative therapeutic assets, supporting both early-stage development and lifecycle management activities.
  • Provide strategic input into clinical development programmes, ensuring trial design, endpoint selection, comparator strategy, and evidence generation plans are aligned with payer and HTA requirements across major markets.
  • Contribute to the development of target product profiles, clinical development plans, and access evidence strategies to maximise future reimbursement and commercial success.
  • Partner with commercial and finance stakeholders to support business case development, scenario planning, pricing assumptions, and market access forecasting.
  • Serve as the market access representative within cross-functional asset teams, ensuring access considerations are incorporated into key development and commercialization decisions.
  • Support the evolution of market access excellence and best practices across the organisation.
  • Monitor changes in healthcare policy, reimbursement frameworks, HTA requirements, and payer evidence expectations, assessing implications for pipeline and commercial assets.
  • Develop value communication materials and strategic access plans to support internal decision-making and future stakeholder engagement.

Technical Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of global payer systems, reimbursement mechanisms, pricing frameworks, HTA processes, and healthcare policy trends, particularly within the US market.
  • Proven ability to incorporate market access considerations into clinical development and evidence-generation strategies.
  • Experience supporting innovative therapies and complex value propositions, with an understanding of evolving payer evidence requirements.
  • Expertise in market access strategy, pricing strategy, value communication, evidence planning, and access-focused product development.
  • Working knowledge of HEOR and Real-World Evidence, with the ability to translate evidence requirements into actionable development plans.

Experience:

  • Approximately 10+ years of experience within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or life sciences consulting sectors.
  • Significant experience in Global Market Access roles, ideally supporting assets from early clinical development through commercialization.
  • Demonstrated experience working with R&D, medical, regulatory, and commercial teams to shape evidence and access strategies.
  • Exposure to the US market and global market access environments is compulsory.

Education:

  • University degree in Pharmacy, Medicine, Economics, Health Sciences, Life Sciences, or a related discipline.
  • Advanced degree (MSc, MBA, MPH, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent) desirable.
  • Fluent English required.
