Senior Healthcare Advisor – Advisory Consulting Team (Freelance/Contract)
📍 Remote (Europe-based preferred) | 🕒 Contract/Project-Based
Our Client is seeking a Senior Healthcare Advisor to support their Advisory & Consulting Team on high-level strategic projects across major global markets. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of management consulting and commercial healthcare strategy, contributing to projects that bring together expertise across three core business units: Advisory, Consulting, and Research.
🔍 About the Role
You’ll be supporting a senior Partner on a diverse range of complex commercial questions – from go-to-market strategy and launch sequencing to barrier identification and organisational delivery. The team works across pharma, biotech, and medtech and doesn’t limit itself to payer strategy or market access alone – this is broad, senior-level consulting with real-world application.
You’ll play a central role in:
- Structuring and solving multi-dimensional commercial challenges
- Advising clients on organisational hurdles and market dynamics
- Integrating solutions across business functions (R&D, commercial, access, marketing)
- Supporting proposal development and client delivery across several strategic workstreams
🧠 What We’re Looking For
This is not a junior role – we’re seeking a strategically minded, emotionally intelligent advisor who is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves and stepping into the big-picture.
Key qualities and experience include:
- Problem solver mindset – able to deconstruct complex issues and sequence solutions logically
- Intellectual curiosity – a desire to understand how all elements of a challenge fit together
- Strong project management – able to lead or co-lead high-pressure projects to successful delivery
- Change management expertise – understanding how organisations evolve and deliver solutions
- Experience with launch sequencing, go-to-market planning, or commercial strategy
- Organisational delivery know-how – someone who can help clients navigate internal hurdles and execute change
- Travel to Office in London once a week is required
- 6 Month contract (Potential to extend)
- 0.8 FTE Minimum
✅ Preferred Background
- 5–10+ years in healthcare/life sciences consulting, strategic marketing, or advisory roles
- Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical or medtech commercial environment
- Experience in go-to-market, brand strategy, or product launch
- Background in management consulting (e.g. from firms like GFK, ZS, IQVIA, Deloitte, PwC, or internal consulting teams within pharma/biotech)
- Bonus: experience working across multiple functions or regions
