Head of Sales | AI Biotech

I'm working with an AI biotech that's changing how drug discovery is done.

They've built an AI-native platform that helps pharmaceutical companies replace time-consuming wet lab experiments with virtual discovery, allowing researchers to assess millions of experiments in a fraction of the time.

Their technology is already being used by some of the world's leading pharma companies, and as demand continues to grow, they're looking for their first commercial leader.

This is a genuine opportunity to build something from the ground up.

  • What You'll Be Doing
  • Winning new business
  • Drive new logo acquisition across large pharma and biotech accounts.
  • Own the full sales process from prospecting through to close.
  • Lead complex sales cycles involving scientific, technical and commercial stakeholders.
  • Build long‑term strategic partnerships with customers.
  • Building the commercial function
  • Develop and execute the go‑to‑market strategy.
  • Put repeatable sales processes, forecasting and pipeline management in place.
  • Use AI to improve prospecting, pipeline management and sales productivity.
  • Hire and develop the commercial team as the business grows.
  • Growing the business
  • Develop strategic partnerships across pharma, biotech and the wider life sciences ecosystem.
  • Represent the business at conferences and industry events.
  • Build relationships with senior leaders across drug discovery, computational biology and AI.
  • What they're looking for
  • A track record of winning complex enterprise deals and opening new accounts.
  • Experience building a sales or GTM function in an early‑stage or scaling business.
  • Comfortable selling technical solutions to scientific customers.
  • Someone who enjoys operating in a fast‑moving environment where you'll have plenty of autonomy.
  • An interest in AI and its role in drug discovery.
  • Why it's worth a conversation
  • The product is already proven and being used by leading pharmaceutical companies.
  • You will have real ownership and the chance to shape the commercial strategy.
  • You will collaborate closely with the founders and play a key role in the company's next stage of growth.
  • Clear progression into a broader commercial leadership or CRO role.
  • Competitive salary, equity and benefits.

If this sounds like the kind of role you've been looking for—or you know someone who'd be a good fit—drop me a message or get in touch.
