We are supporting a fast-developing disease prediction company, leading the way of decoding complex diseases through polygenic risk scoring (PRS) and health data. We are looking for a keen post-doc, staff scientist or student (within genomics, computer science, bioinformatics, or another relevant field) with strong computational/statistical skills to help build the next generation of disease prediction by focusing on PRS, model validation and scientific methods.

Core Responsibilities
  • Work alongside our CTO and Lead Data Scientist on high impact research
  • Develop and validate PRS methods
  • Help refine statistical and computational models
  • Work with genomic datasets helping support research
  • Work independently making key decisions
  • Help towards open-source tools and internal research pipelines
  • Build scientific tools and software within Python/Rust
Preferred Experience
  • Post-doctoral/ PhD
  • Experience in dealing with large bio-bank scale datasets (UKBB or AoU)
  • PRS, statistical genetics and disease risk modelling experience
  • Relevant publications/contributions
  • Familiarity with scientific validation (calibration, benchmarking, AUC/r2, evaluation)
  • Python/Rust programming
  • AWS or cloud-based workflows
