About the Role:
As a Design Support Engineer, you’ll play a key role in turning concepts into compliant, manufacturable products. Working as part of a collaborative engineering team, you’ll contribute across design, validation, and production support while ensuring that products meet strict regulatory and environmental requirements. This is a diverse role where you’ll be involved in:
- Developing new designs and enhancing existing products.
- Supporting design, production, and purchasing teams with technical expertise.
- Creating and maintaining documentation, build instructions, and QA processes.
- Carrying out testing, verification, and product validation.
- Visiting and liaising with suppliers to ensure quality and compliance.
Key skills and experience:
- HND/Degree in Design or Mechanical Engineering (minimum).
- 5+ years’ experience in a Design Engineering role.
- Strong CAD capability (Inventor, SolidWorks, or equivalent).
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes (sheet metal, injection moulding, casting, rotating assemblies, fluid handling, electro-mechanical systems).
