We are on the lookout for talented Biomedical Scientists!
S3 Science is seeking a Senior Biomedical Scientist with expertise in Blood Science to join our client, an independent clinical testing laboratory based in London. This laboratory delivers pathology diagnostic services across the healthcare sector and takes pride in providing rapid and reliable results for clients and patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training of junior BMSs and MLAs
- Supervise and mentor junior laboratory staff, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and maintaining high standards of laboratory practice
- Responsible for organising and managing monthly staff rota
- Maintain an active CPD record
- Be involved in QMS review, i.e. review of documents, SOPs and protocols
- Maintain laboratory compliance with regulatory standards such as ISO 15189 or UKAS accreditation
- Liaise with healthcare professionals, clients, and other stakeholders to provide expert advice on test results and diagnostic procedures
Job Requirements:
- HCPC registration
- Experience as a Senior Biomedical Scientist in a Blood Sciences laboratory
- Strong expertise in haematology and/or biochemistry
- MSc in Biomedical Scientists or Haematology/Chemistry
