Lead Cybersecurity Engineer

Job Description:

Our client is seeking a highly qualifiedPost-Quantum Cryptography Specialist to join their team. This position involves cutting-edge work in cryptography, focusing on post-quantum solutions and advanced security measures to address emerging threats in a rapidly evolving technological landscape. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of cryptographic systems and hands-on expertise in quantum-resistant security protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct research and development inpost-quantum cryptography , aligning withNIST standards and industry best practices.
• Provide expertise in cryptographic techniques, includingsymmetric and asymmetric encryption , cryptographic primitives, and quantum-resistant algorithms.
• Lead efforts in cryptographic inventory discovery, including the creation of aCryptography Bill of Materials (CBOM) for effective asset management.
• Analyze and mitigate vulnerabilities in cryptographic implementations, addressing risks such asside-channel attacks, photon number splitting attacks, DoS attacks, Trojan horse attacks , and novel methods targetingQuantum Key Distribution (QKD) .
• Design and implement secure cryptographic solutions using programming languages likePython andC++ .
• Evaluate and integratequantum-safe cryptographic libraries and tools to future-proof systems.
• Stay current with advancements inquantum computing and its implications for cryptography, ensuring readiness to address emerging security challenges.

Qualifications:

• AMaster’s or Ph.D. inMathematics, Physics, Computer Science , or a related discipline.
• In-depth understanding of cryptography, includingpost-quantum cryptography , and familiarity withNIST standards .
• Experience in cryptographic inventory discovery and CBOM creation.
• Strong knowledge of security risks, includingside-channel attacks ,QKD vulnerabilities , and implementation-based attack vectors.
• Proficiency inPython andC++ , with a focus on secure coding practices.
• Familiarity withquantum-safe cryptographic libraries and tools .
