Barrington James is partnering with a leading biopharmaceutical organization to find a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacologist for an exciting permanent opportunity. If you have a skilled background in clinical pharmacology and want to play a key role in advancing drug development, this is the role for you.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead clinical pharmacology strategies across the drug development lifecycle, from early-phase studies through to late-stage programs.
  • Shape dosing strategies and guide PK/PD modelling efforts.
  • Collaborate closely with clinical, translational science and biometrics teams to ensure strong, data-driven pharmacology strategies.
  • Contribute to successful regulatory outcomes through strategic, evidence-based pharmacology.

Requirements:

  • Advance degree (PhD, PharmD, MD) in clinical pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Hands-on experience in clinical pharmacology within a biopharma or biotech environment.
  • Strong experience in the development and optimization of pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic modelling.
  • Expertise in biologics (e.g., monoclonal antibodies, protein-based therapies) and exposure to next-generation drug modalities like ADCs.
  • Proven experience in drug development, with previous relevant experience preferred.
  • Strong ability to interpret complex datasets and translate findings into actionable strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting complex scientific concepts to diverse audiences, including non-specialists.
  • Proven leadership skills in driving cross-functional collaboration within matrixed teams.
  • Knowledge of translational science, biomarker-driven development, and integration into clinical pharmacology strategies.
  • Experience in both early-phase (Phase 1/2) development programs.
