As a Director/Associate Principal at a global firm that acts as a specialist strategic partner to biopharma companies across the world, you will play a central role in leading high-impact consulting engagements that form biopharmaceutical asset strategy. Derived from their enriched expertise surrounding the drug life cycle, their business focuses on all aspects of science, strategy and technology aiming to aid in unlocking clients’ full potential to improve people’s lives. In order to contribute to advancing best practice, you will have to assist in their integration of robust scientific analysis with a high level of market knowledge and aligned strategic planning.
Key Responsibilities
- The oversight of project delivery by leading teams to deliver actionable insights
- Manage the relationship with senior clients through alignment of goals and maintenance of informative contact
- Integrate medical perspectives with more extensive asset strategies
- Uphold high-quality execution while balancing competing demand
- Lead teams in delivering in-depth primary research with clinical experts and other key stakeholders, alongside robust secondary scientific analysis
- Originate and lead the development of new consulting engagements with both existing clients and new accounts
- Stay updated with industry trends in order to present and advise clients with emerging opportunities and challenges
- Lead and line‑manage a team of consultants and engagement managers to ensure high-quality delivery and professional development across a range of projects
- On both project teams and other contexts, rectify interpersonal conflicts if they may arise
- Own and drive internal initiatives that strengthen your team and the business as a whole
Skills and experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant life‑sciences area
- 6+ years of experience in consultancy within the biopharmaceutical industry
- Proven leadership in large strategic consulting engagements
- Experience at the engagement manager level
- Exceptional communication skills
- High‑level of experience with presenting to stakeholders
