We are seeking a proactive and skilled Site Maintenance Technician to support the efficient operation of a highly regulated technical environment. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for maintaining facilities, coordinating maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with strict operational and safety standards. You will play a key part in delivering a “safety-first” culture, maintaining critical systems, and supporting day-to-day site operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and carry out planned and reactive maintenance activities
  • Ensure all equipment and systems are operating safely and efficiently
  • Manage preventative maintenance schedules (PPM) and maintenance records
  • Oversee contractors and ensure high-quality service delivery
  • Monitor and maintain: Heating and ventilation systems, Generators (including routine testing), Filtration systems
  • Identify and implement site improvements and efficiencies
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory and quality standards
  • Promote and uphold strong Health & Safety practices
  • Report faults, incidents, and risks in a timely manner

About You

You will be a practical, detail-oriented individual with a strong sense of responsibility and teamwork.

Essential:

  • Basic electrical and mechanical skills
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving ability
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • IT proficiency (e.g. Microsoft Office)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Desirable:

  • Experience in regulated or technical environments
  • Familiarity with maintenance systems or databases
  • Experience managing contractors
  • Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)
