Animal Technician

We’re currently supporting a research organisation looking for an Animal Technician to join their team.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced animal technician with a background in rodent husbandry within a BSU to join a busy research environment and support the day-to-day care and welfare of animals.

What are we looking for?

  • Previous experience working with laboratory rodents within a BSU
  • Strong understanding of animal husbandry and welfare
  • Experience working in a regulated laboratory or research environment
  • A PIL would be advantageous, although candidates without a PIL will also be considered
  • Reliable, organised and confident working as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to following procedures

The role

You will support the day-to-day running of the animal facility, ensuring high standards of animal welfare, husbandry and cleanliness are maintained.

You’ll work closely with the wider research team and contribute to the smooth operation of the facility.
