Nature of the job role:
You will be working with me, a professional DJ and wheelchair user, who likes to live independently. Iām looking for someone who is happy to help me with daily tasks around the house, in business and can drive a transit van which is adapted to my needs as a wheelchair user.
** THIS VACACNY REQUIRES YOU TO BE CARER WITH A DRIVING ELEMENT TO THE JOB **
The successful candidate will genuinely want to help with daily tasks as well as the fun stuff! I have a part time opportunity available where you will be supporting my well-being and lifestyle. As you build a relationship with me, you will be able to work on a range of activities which will include driving, community activities, personal care as required, attending social events and networking events too.
Main Duties:
Support & Assistance with:
* Personal care as and when required
* Attending the all-important social/networking events
* Attending appointments and accompanying me on the occasional shopping trip.
* Some diary management, correspondence and running errands.
Social Duties: Social activities
Hours of work: Negotiable but up to 56 hours per week or a shared roll ā Flexible working hours to be agreed with the employer (some Friday/Saturdays will be included)
Rate of Pay: £12.50
Qualifications:
MUST be a Car Driver
MUST BE OVER 25 YEARS OLD (Insurance purposes)
Skills & Experience:
Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References.
Knowledge of disco/audio equipment desired but training can be given.
You must be reliable, trustworthy and show an aptitude for this type of work with a willingness to show some flexibility in the hours that you work.
A positive outlook and a willingness to learn how to assist is essential.
Training will be provided on all aspects of the job, so previous experience as a Personal Assistant desired but not essential.
Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References.
This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
