Nature of the job role:
My client is looking to build a small team of Female Personal Assistants to assist 52-year-old lady with Multiple Sclerosis & an Advance Brain Atrophy.
Her behaviours are affected by the disease & she suffers from dysexecutive syndrome affecting cognitive abilities.
Due to her mobility movements out of the wheelchair and she is hoisted on all transfers and uses a wheelchair to mobilise, living in the Tettenhall area of Wolverhampton, with all aspects of daily living, domestic duties & social time.
The candidates must have a high tolerance and patience to be able to manage issues arising from the service user’s disease.
You will be working as part of a team.
** Successful applicants will be required to complete a 6-week probation period **
Domestic duties: Provide support and assistance around the home with all general needs. Maintain the cleanliness of the home environment. Making meals, snacks, and drinks when required.
Social Duties: Social stimulation, Support accessing the Bank, Hairdressers, going shopping, support to attend medical appointments.
Hours of work: 2 hours per day Monday to Friday – times to be discussed.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience:
Previous Care Experience Essential
Moving and Handling Trained – Must be hoist trained.
Car Driver – Must be over 30 years old to drive the client’s automatic vehicle.
Successful applicants will require DBS checks.
Only applicants who can deliver a high level of care will be considered. You must be reliable, trustworthy and show an aptitude for this type of work with a willingness to show some flexibility in the hours that you work.
