The predicted salary is between 11 - 16 £ per hour.

To assist with a variety of tasks which will enable the person who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.

About the employer: Assisting a 56-year-old gentleman who is a wheelchair user, has Cerebral Palsy, and is non-verbal with all aspects of day-to-day living. My client lives with his family in Wednesfield and is a very pleasant, sociable individual who has a passion for music.

Social stimulation: My client attends a Day Centre.

Assisting with all personal care:

  • Hoisted on all transfers using a ceiling hoist
  • Washing, dressing, continence care
  • Monitoring skin integrity on every visit
  • Support with medication

Domestic duties:

  • Laundry
  • Ironing
  • Weekly deep clean of bedroom and wet room and all equipment to be deep cleaned
  • Making meals and drinks – All meals are pureed, and fluids are to be thickened due to my client being at high risk of choking

  • Values: Someone that is honest, reliable, punctual, non-judgemental, able to build good relationships based on trust and respect, flexible, adaptable, easy-going, able to work alone, positive, willing to travel, understands equality & diversity.

Specific requirements:

  • Someone with previous care experience
  • A clean driving licence is desirable
  • Moving and Handling trained - Must be hoist trained
  • Medication trained

Hours of work: Up to 30 hours a week – Applicant must be flexible. AM shifts start at 7am – 09:45/13:00.

Rate of pay: £13.50 per hour

Skills, qualifications, and experience:

  • Previous care experience essential
  • Clean driving licence desirable
  • Moving and Handling trained – Must be hoist trained
  • Medication trained

Only applicants who can deliver a high level of care will be considered. You must be reliable, trustworthy and show an aptitude for this type of work with a willingness to show some flexibility in the hours that you work. Some experience of working with people with complex care needs is essential.
