Job purpose: To assist with a variety of tasks which will enable the person who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.
About the employer: Our client is a 24-year-old female who is a full-time wheelchair user living in the Whitmore Reans area of Wolverhampton. She is looking to recruit a female Personal Assistant to provide support for 6 hours per week for social and community support. Our client is independent, able to make her own decisions and communicate clearly. Although she has a physical disability and uses a manual wheelchair, she leads an active lifestyle and enjoys getting out of the house regularly. She enjoys going to the gym, shopping, coffee trips, eating out, cinema, and social activities. She needs to be pushed around and has a disability van suitable for the wheelchair for further distances.
- Support to access the community (shopping, gym, coffee, cinema, and eating out)
- Support to attend appointments when required
- Assistance with using public transport when travelling further distances
- Occasional support with personal care when out in the community
