Job purpose: To assist with a variety of tasks which will enable the person who needs care and support to live their personal and social life according to their wishes and interests.
About the employer: Assisting a 56-year-old Gentleman who is a wheelchair user, has Cerebral Palsy, and is Non‑Verbal with all aspects of day‑to‑day living. My client lives with his family in Wednesfield and is a very pleasant, sociable individual who has a passion for music. Social stimulation – My client attends a Day Centre.
- Assisting with all personal care; Hoisted on all transfers using a Ceiling hoist, washing, dressing, continence care, monitoring skin integrity on every visit, support with medication.
- Domestic duties: Laundry, Ironing, Weekly deep clean of bedroom and wet room and all equipment to be deep cleaned.
- Making meals and drinks – All meals are pureed, and fluids are to be thickened due to my client being at high risk of choking.
