About the employer: My client is a 35-year-old male living in the WV14 area of Bilston. My client has Multiple Sclerosis and spends most of his time in bed or in his wheelchair. He is a very jolly and chatty person and likes talking with his Personal Assistants during the calls. He also likes to go to the Cinema, Football matches, and playing on his PS4. My client always requires 2 Personal Assistants due to all transfers being made using a hoist.
Responsibilities:
- Keep in touch and socialise with family and friends
- Attend medical appointments if required
- Attend social events such as the cinema or football matches
- Personal Care:
- Support with showering
- Shaving
- Oral Care
- Dressing
- PEG Feeding
- Administering Medication
Type of person that you/they are looking for:
- Values: Someone that is honest, reliable, punctual, non-judgemental, able to build good relationships based on trust and respect, flexible, adaptable, easy-going, able to work alone, positive, willing to travel, understands equality & diversity.
- Specific requirements: Someone with an understanding of Multiple Sclerosis and has previous care experience and is trained in using an Electric Hoist.
Hours of work: 10 hours per week plus holiday cover
Rate of pay: £12.20 per hour
