A caring, reliable, and enthusiastic Personal Assistant is required to support an adult woman to access social, leisure, and community-based activities.

The role involves providing companionship and encouraging participation in activities that promote independence, confidence, and wellbeing.

Support may include attending the gym, accessing local social groups, community events, music-related activities, and other hobbies and interests.

The successful candidate will also support the individual to develop social connections and engage in meaningful community activities.

About the employer

Our client is a 45-year-old woman living in the Frodsham area of Cheshire with their family who is looking to recruit a Personal Assistant to provide support for up to 14 hours per week evenings and weekends.

The days are flexible.

Our client is a wheelchair user and manual handling is required.

Rate of pay: £14.50 per hour

Skills, qualifications, and experience

  • Previous experience in a care, support, or Personal Assistant role is desirable but not essential.
  • A willingness to learn and follow guidance to meet the individual's needs.
  • Knowledge or understanding of epilepsy would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge or understanding of anxiety and how it may impact daily activities would be beneficial.
  • An awareness of promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work using your own initiative.
  • Comfortable undertaking manual handling duties following appropriate training and guidance.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and respecting the individual's privacy.

Successful applicants will require DBS checks & Employment References.

This role is funded by the Local Authority and is paid 4 weekly.
