Working in partnership with a PE backed, branded consumer goods organisation, I am seeking a high-calibre FP&A Business Analyst to own end-to-end financial analysis for key business decisions - from business cases and portfolio optimisation to sourcing and commercial strategy - working independently with cross-functional stakeholders across Product Development, Marketing, Commercial and Strategy.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified.
  • Clear trajectory of impactful analysis within FP&A or Strategic Finance.
  • Experience operating in complex, fast-paced, or high-growth environments.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity. Enjoys digging into a messy business problem as much as building a clean model.
  • Genuine curiosity about business - asks “why”, not just “what”.
  • Not just a number cruncher - a business thinker who happens to love numbers.
  • Someone who simplifies rather than complicates, and who sees technology as an opportunity, not a threat.

Business Analysis & Decision Support

  • Be the go-to finance expert for business and investment decisions - pulling data from multiple sources and formats, cutting through complexity, and delivering clear analysis that helps stakeholders choose the right path.
  • Build and own business cases with solid assumptions, scenario models and actionable recommendations.
  • Work closely with business partners to ensure resource and investment decisions are well-grounded and prioritized - not just financially sound, but strategically smart.

Performance & Reporting

  • Go beyond the standard month-end - analyse what actually happened in the business: which products drove results, how markets performed, what commercial KPIs are telling us, whether initiatives like free delivery or new pricing strategies delivered as expected.
  • Prepare consolidated performance insights that are accurate, timely and genuinely useful - not just numbers on a page.

Senior Stakeholder Support

  • Own the preparation of financial analysis and presentations for Senior Leadership and C-level reviews.
  • Support the annual planning process with financial modelling and well-reasoned assumptions.
  • Be a trusted analytical partner - proactive, not reactive.

Ways of Working

  • Actively simplify - if a process is over complicated, fix it.
  • Use AI and modern tools to work faster and smarter and bring that mindset to the team.
  • Contribute to special projects and ad hoc requests with the same rigor as structured work.
  • Help raise the bar - share knowledge, challenge assumptions, improve how finance operates.
