Overview

Barrhead Travel have an exciting opportunity for a Graphic Designer to join our team at our Head Office in Glasgow City Centre.

This fast-paced, dynamic role will involve proactively producing designs with high visual impact whilst adhering to company brand guidelines. You will work on a huge variety of products including campaigns, a wide variation of print design (including mailers, flyers, posters etc), digital design and newspaper advertisements.

Role Responsibilities

  • Acquiring job brief requirements and designing appropriately
  • Ensuring that corporate brand identity is always sustained at a high level in all media to help generate booking enquiries.
  • Liasing with marketing and with external printers to ensure deadlines are met and all materials are printed or presented to the highest quality.
  • Managing each individual job brief from internal client conceptualisation through to completion.
  • Delivering on designs accurately and working as closely to the brief as possible with meticulous attention to detail working within agreed schedules, making sure that these designs meet marketing and any other internal client\'s creative expectations.
  • Providing feedback to internal clients when asked, explaining the rationale behind graphic design decisions.
  • Offering solutions to designs that are rejected.
  • Supporting team members when assistance is required, on a planned or ad-hoc basis.

What we are looking for

  • Enthusiastic individual who is professional, well organised and able to manage their own workload.
  • Ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines
  • Creative flair with up-to-date knowledge of design software including Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop with at least a basic knowledge on designing and creating PowerPoint presentations.
  • Working knowledge of web design, video editing or using Adobe Premiere/After Effects would be an advantage.
