Vehicle Porter – Barretts Preparation Centre

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Vehicle Porter to join our dedicated team at our busy Barretts Preparation Centre, where we handle over 5,000 vehicles each year for some of the world’s most prestigious brands, including Jaguar Land Rover, BMW/MINI, and Honda.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role at the heart of our operations. You’ll play a key part in ensuring vehicles move smoothly through the preparation process, supporting our technicians and maintaining an efficient workflow. If you enjoy being active, working outdoors, and taking pride in keeping things running like clockwork, this could be the perfect role for you.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Moving and organising vehicles across the site to keep work flowing efficiently.
  • Managing on-site vehicle storage and ensuring space is used effectively.
  • Refuelling vehicles as required to meet preparation standards.
  • Assisting with vehicle check-in and appraisal during busy periods.
  • Keeping accurate records of vehicle locations and status.
  • Supporting general site operations and maintaining a safe, clean working environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • A full UK driving licence with a clean record.
  • High energy and the ability to stay active throughout the day.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A team player who can also work independently.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or automotive environment is an advantage, but not essential.
