All About the Role
Based at our Barrett Engineering Steel Willenhall Site, we are looking for a passionate and committed Warehouse Operative to be part of our skilled and dedicated work force. The shifts will be rotational Monday to Friday 6 am to 2.00pm then Monday to Friday 2pm to 10pm.
Specific tasks include:
- Pick computer generated orders with repetitive handling/lifting of heavy and large items
- Accurately record stock movement and usage, along with product identification and use of measuring equipment.
- Work efficiently and effectively as part of a team and on your own.
- Transferring stock, operate saws, overhead cranes, fork lifts, side loaders and side trackers after full training
- Assisting in the overall production and dispatch of customers’ orders.
- Maintain high levels of Health and Safety at all times
- Be adaptable and flexible in approach to work to meet operational requirements
- Any ad hoc duties as required

- The successful candidate will ideally already have experience as a warehouse operative
- You should be used to working safely, adhering to all health and safety procedures

- Ideally you will be able to use mobile equipment (FLT, overhead crane)
- The ability to read written instructions & record accurately work carried out
- A full UK driving license.
