Customer needs and community support are at the heart of everything, ensuring Barrett Steel is always your local steel stockholder.  All About the Role  The purpose of this role is to carry out multi-drop driving & related duties involved with the carriage of goods. The standard hours for this role are Monday to Friday 42.5 hours plus overtime.  Specific tasks include: To oversee the safe unloading of vehicles at customer premises Ensuring Proofs of Delivery are signed & returned without delay. To check the load security & weight distribution according to latest safe working practices at the beginning and end of each shift. To ensure that the delivery vehicles are always maintained to Company standards, of reporting of any defects to the vehicle. Ensures vehicles are in safe condition, with daily checks correctly completed before use, & are operated in a safe manner. Uphold all  exacting health and safety standards at site, on the road and at customer premises. Own a Driver CPC & Digital Tachograph card. Knowledge of working time directive. Previous experience in a warehousing or distribution business, ideally multi-drop Understanding and experience of EHS requirements.
