All About the Role

Based at our Dragon Steel Services, Saltney site the purpose of this role is to ensure customers’ orders are fulfilled to the highest standards in a fast-paced environment.The shift hours are Monday to Thursday 8 am to 4.45pm, Fridays 7 am to 3.45pm

Specific tasks will include:

  • Pick computer generated orders with repetitive handling/lifting of heavy and large item.
  • Loading, cutting (Saws) and offloading of steel.
  • Ensure all documentation is correctly actioned for accuracy of stock.
  • Transferring stock to its location using a Forklift truck.
  • Assisting in the overall production and dispatch of customers’ orders
  • Keep work area clean and tidy maintain high levels of Health and Safety.
  • Be adaptable and flexible in approach to work to meet operational requirements.
  • Operate machinery (only when trained to do so)
  • Any ad hoc duties as required in the role.

Essential Skills for the role:

  • The successful candidate will have experience as a Warehouse Operative; steel industry or heavy industry experience would be an advantage.
  • Have a flexible attitude, be results oriented, and enjoy working in a team environment.
  • Bandsaw/Overhand Crane/ Fork-Lift experience desirable, however training will be given.
  • A strong commitment to Health & Safety.
  • Ideally a Driving License
  • Looking for a long-term position
