The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.
This is a new group role which will ensure our company’s transport operations meet all legal and regulatory standards, including driver hours, vehicle maintenance, and operator's licence requirements, while continuously improving operational standards, fostering a strong culture of compliance performance. This role is pivotal in fostering a compliant and safe transport environment. The role holder must lead by example, championing driver accountability, process improvement and organisational best practices. Although essentially a home-based position, a full UK driving license is essential as you will be expected to visit various sites on an as and when basis.
Specific tasks include:
- License Compliance: Ensure 100% adherence to relevant transport laws, DVSA regulations, and internal policies. Drive improvements in compliance KPIs.
- Transport Management Systems: Monitor and manage compliance via TruTac and Samsara, extracting reports and operational insights for continuous improvement.
- Driver Performance Management: Review and provide feedback to ensure corrective action where tachograph infringements or unsafe practices occur.
- AI Distraction Camera Monitoring: Review flagged driver behaviours from AI-powered cameras and issue coaching or disciplinary feedback in accordance with company standards.
- Driver Coaching: Recommend data-driven coaching to improve driver behaviour, reduce distractions, and promote safety and compliance.
- Scheduling & Planning Support: Work closely with site management teams to ensure schedules align with compliance limits and safety standards.
- Driver Hours Auditing: Perform weekly audits on driver hours, ensuring anomalies or breaches are identified and promptly resolved.
- Compliance Development: Enhance existing compliance processes, tools, and documentation to strengthen safety culture and audit readiness.
- Accident & Incident Investigation: Support investigations into road incidents or driver conduct breaches; participate in root cause analysis and recommend preventive measures.
- Reporting & Documentation: Maintain robust records of audits, training, AI camera incidents, and compliance outcomes. Prepare reports for management and external stakeholders.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work collaboratively with HR, Health & Safety, and Operations to ensure an integrated and effective compliance approach.
- Policy Implementation: Support the drafting, communication, and enforcement of policies that uphold legal compliance and operational excellence.
