Based at our Newbridge Site, we have a vacancy for a Machine Operative on the weekly rotating shift. The purpose of this role is to ensure customers’ orders are fulfilled to the highest standards in a fast‑paced environment.
Shift Time
Weekly rotating shift: Monday to Friday – 6:00 am to 2:30 pm and 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm.
Responsibilities
- Pick computer generated orders with repetitive handling/lifting of heavy and large items.
- Accurately record stock movement and usage, along with product identification and use of measuring equipment.
- Work efficiently and effectively as part of a team and on your own.
- Operate saws and handle steel.
- Transfer stock to its location using forklift trucks and cranes.
- Assist in the overall production and dispatch of customers’ orders.
- Maintain high levels of health and safety at all times.
- Be adaptable and flexible in approach to work to meet operational requirements.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Experience in machinery operations with a proven track record in setting and recording performance and quality standards.
- Flexible attitude, results‑oriented, and enjoy working in a team environment.
- Fork‑lift and side‑loader experience desirable but not essential.
