The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 Β£ per year.
Based at Barrett Engineering Steel North East, Leadgate Industrial Estate, Lope Hill Road, Leadgate Consett DH8 6HG. The purpose of this role is to ensure customers' orders are fulfilled to the highest standards in a fast-paced environment. The shift hours are Monday to Friday 7 am to 4 pm.
Specific tasks could include:
- Operate bandsaws and machinery
- Loading and offloading of steel
- Transferring stock to its location using forklift trucks, side loaders and overhead cranes
- Pick computer generated orders with the handling/lifting of heavy and large items
- Ensure all documentation is correctly actioned for accuracy of stock
- Accurately record stock movement and usage, along with product identification and use of measuring equipment
- Work efficiently and effectively as part of a team and on your own
- Assisting in the overall production and dispatch of customers' orders
- Maintain high levels of Health and Safety
- Be adaptable and flexible in approach to work to meet operational requirements
- Operate other machinery (only when trained to do so)
