All About the Role
The purpose of this role is to carry out multi-drop driving & related duties involved with the carriage of goods. The basic hours for this role are 37.5 hours per week.
Specific tasks include:
- To oversee the safe unloading of vehicles at customer premises
- Ensuring Proofs of Delivery are signed & returned without delay.
- To check the load security & weight distribution according to latest safe working practices at the beginning and end of each shift.
- To ensure that the delivery vehicles are always maintained to Company standards, of reporting of any defects to the vehicle.
- Ensures vehicles are in safe condition, with daily checks correctly completed before use, & are operated in a safe manner.
- Uphold all exacting health and safety standards at site, on the road and at customer premises.
- Be an ambassador for high quality customer service

Essential Skills for the role:
- To hold a valid HGV Class 1 Licence (with no more than 6 points).
- Own a Driver CPC & Digital Tachograph card.
- Knowledge of working time directive.
- Previous experience in a warehousing or distribution business, ideally multi-drop
- Understanding and experience of EHS requirements.
- The ability to stay away as and when the job requires it.
