- All About the Role
Based at our Dragon Steel Services, Saltney site the purpose of this role is to ensure customers’ orders are fulfilled to the highest standards in a fast-paced environment.
The shift hours are Monday to Thursday 8 am to 4.45pm, Fridays 7 am to 3.45pm
Specific tasks will include
- Pick computer generated orders with repetitive handling/lifting of heavy and large item.
- Loading, cutting (Saws) and offloading of steel.
- Ensure all documentation is correctly actioned for accuracy of stock.
- Transferring stock to its location using a Forklift truck.
- Assisting in the overall production and dispatch of customers’ orders
- Keep work area clean and tidy maintain high levels of Health and Safety.
- Be adaptable and flexible in approach to work to meet operational requirements.
- Operate machinery (only when trained to do so)
- Any ad hoc duties as required in the role.

Essential Skills for the role
- The successful candidate will have experience as a Warehouse Operative; steel industry or heavy industry experience would be an advantage.
- Have a flexible attitude, be results oriented, and enjoy working in a team environment.
- Bandsaw/Side-Loader/ Fork-Lift experience desirable, however training will be given.
- A strong commitment to Health & Safety.
- Ideally a Driving License
