As a Senior Data & AI Analyst at Barrett Steel, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's digital transformation through data, AI, and business systems.
A key focus of the role will be supporting the migration to Epicor, ensuring data integrity, improving reporting capabilities, and helping the business maximise the value of its new ERP platform.
Alongside the ERP migration, you will identify opportunities to design, develop, and deploy AI-powered internal applications that enhance sales productivity, automate manual workflows, and improve business decision‑making.
Working closely with stakeholders across Sales, Operations, Finance, and IT, you will translate business challenges into innovative, data‑driven solutions that deliver measurable improvements in efficiency and customer service.
You will be responsible for developing dashboards, reports, and analytics that provide actionable insights, while leveraging modern AI technologies to streamline processes and support business growth.
As a senior member of the team, you will also champion best practices in data management, governance, and AI adoption, helping to build a data‑driven culture across Barrett Steel.

Key Responsibilities
- Help define and deliver Barrett Steel's Data & AI roadmap.
- Champion the adoption of AI across the business by providing support with identifying high‑value use cases and delivering proof of concepts.
- Design and deploy AI‑powered applications to improve sales productivity, automate workflows, and enhance decision‑making.
- Support the migration to Epicor, including data validation, reporting, and process optimisation.
- Support the implementation and development of a modern data platform, including Snowflake.
- Integrate data from multiple business systems to deliver trusted, business‑ready insights.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and KPIs using Tableau and Tableau Pulse.
- Build and optimise automated data workflows using Alteryx.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify opportunities for data, analytics, automation, and AI solutions.
- Help establish and promote best practices for data architecture, analytics development, data governance, and AI governance.
- Drive continuous improvement through automation, innovation, and the adoption of emerging AI technologies.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and governance across reporting and analytics.
