Typical responsibilities of the role
Regularly observes and monitors care workers; Is responsible for the shift and the service when on duty;
deal with situations and offer advice and support to care staff;
aids and enables service users to dress and undress, wash, use the toilet and bath;
serves meals to service users at table or in bed, assists with eating as necessary; generally assists with service users’ overall comfort and wellbeing;
provides interest and activities to stimulate and involve the service user;
performs light cleaning and domestic tasks as necessary, including meal preparation;
Works with professional personnel to implement care plans and record keeping etc
