Overview
What you will be doing? Supporting the business and our divisional offices. Our Head Office functions cover all departments from our Executive Board through to our support functions such as Group Design and Technical, HR, Health and Safety, IT, Sales and Marketing, Commercial, Procurement, Group Finance, Corporate Affairs, as well as Legal and Company Secretariat. We also have a specialised function – Barratt Partnerships.
Reporting to the Group Leadership and Talent Development Manager you will be accountable for the design, delivery and evaluation of all talent development solutions.
Responsibilities
- Good appreciation of the current and future capability implications of our strategy for leaders across Barratt Redrow, to inform an appropriate talent development plan
- Design inclusive talent development programmes aligned to identified priorities
- Work with the Talent team to identify core development priorities for high potential senior talent, as well as graduates
- Conduct learning needs analysis, identifying clear expected outcomes and benefits
- Review and redefine our talent development offer as required to ensure it is optimised to deliver business strategic outcomes
- Manage our corporate graduate programme working closely with the Talent and Performance Planning Manager
- Ensure all our talent development is delivering a return for the business through robust evaluation, leveraging great data and insight
- Ensure our values are brought to life through the learning solutions that are designed
- Works alongside the Learning Solutions team to define and design resources (including 3rd party partners)
- On occasions, deliver/facilitate learning solutions
- Identify and manage external providers as needed to ensure they design and deliver appropriate solutions for our business, within budget
- Continuously evaluate the impact of interventions and solutions, ensuring they remain relevant and ‘value add’
What You’ll Need
To be successful in this role:
Essential
- Deep specialist expertise in talent programmes design, implementation, delivery and evaluation
- A credible thought leader with deep knowledge and experience of designing development solutions for high-potential senior leaders (emerging to Exec).
- Strong understanding of learning psychology and theory
- Strong delivery and facilitation skills
- Naturally curious and stays close to emerging trends and thought leadership in their area of expertise
- Commercially astute with good data analytical skills
- Excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills at all levels, with ability to influence core stakeholders
- Excellent verbal, presentation and written communication skills
Desirable
- Some experience of talent management practices
- A qualified coach
- As well as own direct contribution, be adept at leading others’ contribution and managing third party support as necessary
- Being proactive and curious, always challenging to make improvements
- Considered, balanced decision-making
