12 Month FTC

Supporting the business and our divisional offices, our Head Office functions cover all departments from our Executive Board through to our support functions such as Group Design and Technical, HR, Health and Safety, IT, Sales and Marketing, Commercial, Procurement, Group Finance, Corporate Affairs, as well as Legal and Company Secretariat. We also have a specialised function – Barratt Partnerships.

While the work varies from team to team, our key requirements don’t: you must be well organised, extremely helpful and resourceful, and able to use your initiative. You’ll understand that what you do is important, and impacts on your team, the department, and the wider business.

Partnering with the Skills Development team to understand key resource requirements, ensuring the accurate development of resourcing plans that meet both current and future organisational skills needs. This includes shaping and modernising how we recruit and assess our Skills Programmes, as well as building and sustaining emerging talent pipelines to secure future capability.

  • Responsible for Skills Programmes resourcing plans including Trade Apprenticeships, Apprenticeship Graduate programmes.
  • Lead the redesign of how we recruit and assess Trade Apprenticeships, Apprenticeship programmes, Graduate pathways and any new emerging pathways, ensuring a consistent, inclusive and future‐focused approach.
  • Act as the recruitment subject matter expert on employee resourcing strategies to provide innovative, cost effective and timely solutions.
  • Optimise direct delivery and time to hire capability and strive to continually improve our service.
  • Develop and maintain the recruitment process within the business evaluating and improving the effectiveness of recruitment material such as job adverts.
  • Utilise social media and other professional networks, with the ability to undertake proactive attraction that has a direct impact on talent pipelines.
  • Oversee delivery of recruitment across all programmes to ensure that KPI's are met.
  • Manage all external suppliers including recruitment agencies, advertising agencies, job boards in relation to recruitment activity.
  • Continually review and utilise the ATS for recruitment processes ensuring that all workflows, templates and portals are in line with company requirements.

What You’ll Need

To be successful in the role, we are looking for:

  • Essential
  • Expert in end‐to‐end in‐house recruitment.
  • Strong understanding of employment legislation and compliance (referencing, redeployment, immigration).
  • Experience recruiting career changers and early‐career talent, including assessment centre design.
  • Solid knowledge of Degree Apprenticeship frameworks and entry requirements.
  • Confident user of Applicant Tracking Systems.
  • Excellent stakeholder management with strong influencing and negotiation skills.
  • Effective project and campaign management capability.
  • Strong verbal, written and presentation communication.
  • Consistently role models company values.
  • Experience improving recruitment and assessment approaches for early‐career pipelines.
  • Applies assessment best practice to ensure fairness, inclusion and accurate capability measurement.
  • Desirable
  • Understanding of the organisation's skills programmes portfolio, particularly apprenticeships.
  • Awareness of diversity principles and how they link to resourcing.
