Overview

Join to apply for the Senior People Relations Manager role at Barratt Redrow. This role reports to the Head of HR Operations and leads the People Relations team and the Company’s approach to ER case management, mitigating risk and ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and promoting improved employee relations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of a consistent and high quality ER advisory service across the organisation. Set and monitor standards for ER active case management ensuring legal compliance, operational risk management, cultural alignment and early resolution.
  • Provide strategic ER input into change and transformation projects, including restructures, TUPE transfers, site closures and organisational design/development changes
  • Manage, coach and upskill the PR team, building a high performing, knowledgeable and engaged team. Organise all workload allocation, case and project prioritisation and the professional development of members
  • Develop, review and implement our ER policies and procedures (discipline, capability, grievance etc.) ensuring alignment with current legislation, trends and best practice, raising awareness and compliance where appropriate
  • Systemise all ER caseload, ensuring legal compliance, accessibility for monitoring, accurate, secure, easy and timely reporting, case tracking and audit readiness
  • Develop relationships and liaise with external stakeholders e.g. legal representatives, ACAS etc to monitor cases, set strategy and mitigate risk
  • Prepare and present MI, reports and recommendations to senior stakeholders including litigation risk and exposure
  • Conduct ER audits to ensure compliance, identify areas of improvement and provide recommendations/training
  • Oversee and support the handling of high-risk or sensitive cases guiding senior leaders and the PR team through challenges, promoting early resolution and informal problem solving, raising confidence and reducing dependency on formal processes
