The predicted salary is between 45000 - 55000 £ per year.

Within the construction environment, you will manage buying materials, large projects, health & safety, and customer service for around 400 developments across the UK. You will report to the Contracts Manager and oversee the construction and pre/post housebuilding works for developments ranging from brownfield sites to converted buildings.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance on site with health & safety standards, NHBC standards, building regulations, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate labour and resources to deliver the build programme, schedule trades, and manage material levels.
  • Guarantee all plots meet highest quality, NHBC, Building Regulations, and range specifications.
  • Conduct company‑directed quality control inspections, rectify defects, and avoid additional cost or time delays.
  • Monitor and control production costs and approve payments to contractors and trades.
  • Initiate and attend plot inspections with Local Building Inspectors or NHBC, taking corrective action.
  • Carry out toolbox talks or on‑site briefings.
  • Liaise with internal departments, external suppliers, and partners to ensure programme achievement.
  • Work with sales via regular meetings to ensure smooth delivery of homes to customers.
  • Deliver a high standard of site presentation at all times.
  • Conduct new home tours with Sales Advisor and customers, addressing issues before Legal Completion.
  • With support from the Contracts Manager, ensure the on‑site construction team is resourced, directed, and supported through training and communication.
  • Serve as a behavioural example in health & safety, organisation, quality, and professionalism.

Qualifications

  • Extensive experience managing build programmes and key priorities.
  • Proven ability to deliver weekly targets via effective labour organisation.
  • Excellent communicator, explaining details and ensuring compliance.
  • Demonstrated leadership and assertiveness to deliver high quality.
  • Strong prioritisation and problem‑solving skills.
  • Member of the Chartered Institute of Builders, NVQ Level 5 in Construction Management, or extensive trades experience.
  • In‑depth knowledge of construction, housebuilding, health & safety, NHBC, and Building Regulations.
  • Well‑rounded experience handling customer information, advice, and resolution of customer issues.
