What you’ll be doing?

Gladman Developments are the UK’s most active and successful land promoter based in Congleton, Cheshire.

With over 30 years’ experience in achieving planning permissions, our team have years of professional experience and a wide range of industry contacts, from central government, local councils, professional consultants to major housebuilders.

As part of the wider Barratt Group, we partner with landowners to bring forward development opportunities through the planning system.

To provide efficient, proactive, and professional administrative support across the Gladman business.

The role is responsible for ensuring the smooth delivery of business support activities, maintaining accurate records, coordinating meetings and travel arrangements, and assisting teams in meeting business priorities, deadlines, and operational requirements.

This is an office based role Monday to Thursday with the flexibility to work from home on Fridays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administrative Support
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to teams across the business.
  • Arrange meetings, including diary management, meeting invitations, room bookings, and associated logistics.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, reports, presentations, and supporting documentation.
  • Format, print and distribute letters, reports and appeal documentation.
  • Create and maintain site folders and landowner information booklets.
  • Data and Record Management
  • Maintain and update company databases accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Produce reports from databases as required.
  • Update and manage communication tracking systems.
  • Ensure records are organised, accurate, and compliant with company procedures.
  • Handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Reconcile company credit card expenditure.
  • Process and reconcile travel-related invoices.
  • Maintain accurate records of expenditure and supporting documentation.
  • Travel and Event Coordination
  • Arrange travel and accommodation bookings for employees.
  • Organise catering, buffets, and refreshments for meetings and events.
  • Coordinate courier services and other logistical requirements.
  • Reception and Office Support
  • Provide reception cover when required, including answering and directing telephone calls.
  • Take and relay messages accurately and promptly.
  • Order and maintain stationery and office supplies.
  • Support workplace housekeeping initiatives, including recycling and general office organisation.

Person Specification

  • Knowledge, Skills And Experience
  • Previous experience in an administrative or business support role.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and record-keeping abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience of diary management, meeting coordination, and travel booking is desirable.
