The Design and Technical teams are involved in all aspects of housing design and innovation, responsible for researching the best materials at the best cost. The team works on a variety of sites, many using existing buildings, with unique challenges. They focus on new materials, sustainability, and value, while complying with evolving legislation. Most team members have architectural or engineering backgrounds, gaining expertise in design and project management in a dynamic environment.
Reporting to the Technical Manager or Technical Project Manager, your role will involve coordinating technical, engineering, and architectural needs from land acquisition to site completion and final adoption.
You Will Be Expected To:
- Obtain technical drawings and approvals for efficient site start
- Brief external consultants
- Support in preparing technical specifications
- Assist in preparing the design programme
- Manage statutory enquiries like sewer connections and section agreements
- Support NHBC/Building Regulations applications
- Ensure working drawings align with approved planning schemes
- Assist in preparing brochure, conveyance, and sales plans
- Attend site progress meetings and inspections
- Participate in project meetings
- Coordinate with internal and external parties
- Respond to site queries and resolve technical issues
