Within the Construction environment, manage materials, big projects, health and safety, and customer service. We work on circa 400 developments across the UK, ranging from brownfield site starts to adapting existing buildings. We value fresh ideas and the commercial ability to manage people, budgets, and costs.
Reporting to the Site Manager, you will ensure that all tasks are completed to the highest standard and within required timescales.
Responsibilities- Carry out all works on site as instructed by the Site Manager and in line with BDW Standards and procedures.
- Inspect on-site signage (large sale signs, plot signs, safety signs, etc.) and ensure signs are clean and in good repair.
- Take personal responsibility for health and safety on site and report breaches to the Site Manager.
- Ensure that protection of fixed materials is carried out by the Sub-contractor in line with BDW procedures.
- Maintain protection of fixed materials until the last possible moment and notify the Site Manager of any removal or abuse.
- Ensure compound and welfare facilities are maintained.
- Keep plots under construction tidy by all trades.
- Walk round plots daily to ensure no surplus materials are present.
- Ensure all site waste is segregated and recycled following BDW guidelines.
- Check show home gardens and public spaces weekly and remove rubbish from these areas.
- Enthusiastic self-starter who can use initiative while working unsupervised.
- Experience of working on large-volume domestic house-building sites.
- Health and Safety awareness.
- Current appropriate CSCS or partner scheme card.
