Within the Construction environment, think about buying materials, managing big projects, ensuring health and safety, and customer service. We work on approximately 400 developments across the UK, from brownfield sites to adapting existing buildings like old factories or disused hospitals.
We need individuals who can bring fresh ideas and imagination, alongside the commercial ability to manage people, budgets, and costs. Our construction teams have been recognized with NHBC Pride in the Job Awards for thirteen consecutive years, highlighting their professionalism.
Reporting to the Site Management Team, you will assist in building quality homes for the future.
You will be expected to:
- Carry out all works on site as instructed by the Site Manager, following BDW standards and procedures.
- Take personal responsibility for health and safety on site, including constructing first, second, and final fix installations as per details and ensuring inspections meet NHBC requirements.
- Maintain a clean and tidy working area, ensure PPE is worn, and materials are properly segregated and disposed of.
- Ensure tools and equipment are maintained and checked regularly.
- Manage plot safety and tidiness, including installing floor protection and ensuring plots are loaded with materials for trades.
To be successful, candidates should be:
- Reliable and hardworking
- Hold an SVQ Level 3 or above with appropriate CSCS Card
- Possess impact nailer training and cartridge tool certification if required.
