Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will support the finance team in the effective management and reporting of divisional performance in line with business requirements.
Responsibilities
- Promote and act in accordance with Group values, systems, policies and procedures.
- Support the finance team in ensuring that all deadlines and the financial timetable are achieved.
- Assume responsibility for all overhead costs, ensuring they are correctly coded and apportioned.
- Manage the Group balance sheet submission process, from completion of reconciliation to review with FM and FD.
- Assist with accurate and robust forecasting and planning in line with requirements.
- Control the quarterly and annual Corporate Sustainability Questionnaire process, ensuring all data is accurately collected and recorded within the submission.
- Act as the point of contact for the finance shared service centre, offering support and guidance when required.
- Assist with appropriate reporting to the MD and Divisional board.
Qualifications
- Part qualified accountant, actively studying, with experience in a commercial accounting role, ideally within the house‑building sector.
- Strong team player with the drive and tenacity to achieve the goals of the business.
- Highly numerate with strong IT and financial analysis skills, particularly advanced Excel skills.
- The ability to produce data, interpret it, and provide commentary to non‑financial stakeholders.
- Experience of planning and organising work to meet targets.
- Able and willing to contribute a professional opinion to the overall management of the business.
- Self‑confident, decisive, resilient and able to thrive under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
