Within the construction environment, consider buying materials, managing large projects, ensuring health and safety, and customer service. We work on approximately 400 developments across the UK, each presenting unique challenges, from brownfield sites to adapting existing buildings like old factories or disused hospitals.

We seek individuals who can bring fresh ideas and imagination, alongside the commercial ability to manage people, budgets, and costs. Our construction teams have been recognized for their professionalism, winning more NHBC Pride in the Job Awards than any other housebuilder for thirteen consecutive years.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will assist in managing the development of the site through to completion, ensuring Programme, Quality, and Cost targets are met by effectively managing the site team and subcontractors.

You will be expected to:

  • Support the Site Manager in coordinating trades, direct labor, and materials to meet the production schedule.
  • Work with the Sales Team, attend regular Sales/Build meetings, adhere to procedures, and inspect show homes.
  • Take on responsibilities as determined by the Site Manager, including deputizing when required.
  • Support the construction team to be well-resourced, clear on their responsibilities, and supported through communication, training, and workload organization.
  • Deliver excellent customer service in line with company guidelines.

To succeed, candidates should have:

  • Experience working within established build programs.
  • Assertiveness to ensure target delivery by the team and trades/labor.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks amid changing needs.
  • Membership of the Chartered Institute of Builders and/or NVQ level in Construction Management, or extensive trades experience.
  • Deep knowledge of construction trades, health and safety, NHBC requirements, and Building Regulations.
  • Good understanding of customer service issues.

We are recognized as a 5-star housebuilder since 2010, committed to high-quality homes for all generations, driven by innovation, technology, and a customer-first approach. We offer tailored opportunities for apprentices, graduates, professionals, and ex-Armed Forces personnel to help us build the homes Britain needs.

Our hybrid working model allows office-based colleagues to split their time between office, site, sales offices, and home, where role permits. We value a diverse, inclusive culture where everyone can develop and succeed regardless of gender, race, age, sexuality, disability, or background.

Benefits include:

  • Competitive Bonus Scheme
  • Private Medical Cover
  • 26 days’ holiday, increasing with service

Additional benefits encompass private healthcare, pension schemes with up to 10% employer contributions, annual health assessments, employee loans, house purchase discounts, cycle schemes, and more. We also offer family-friendly policies, volunteer leave, share schemes, and other perks.

Based in Yorkshire East, we focus on building durable, sustainable homes that meet modern needs and contribute positively to communities and the environment.

We are committed to diversity and inclusion, recognizing that a diverse team enhances our service, employer appeal, and business sustainability. We aim to build a better tomorrow through sustainable practices and community building.
