Barracuda Networks is looking for a UX Designer II to own the end-to-end design experience for two of our cloud-delivered SASE network security solution.
At Barracuda, you will partner closely with Product Management and Engineering, translating complex security capabilities into intuitive, high-quality user experiences that drive feature adoption and user behavior.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned, self-directed designer who can hit the ground running, build deep product expertise quickly, and consistently ship polished work that leverages our shared design system.
What you'll be working on: Own hands-on UX design for two complex security products - a SASE solution and a firewall product - driving work from problem definition through delivery.
Embed within cross-functional teams, partnering daily with Product Management and Engineering to define requirements, align on solutions, and deliver high-quality designs.
Leverage and contribute to the shared design system to ensure consistency across products and reduce design debt.
Leverage AI tools to accelerate UX workflows including ideation, rapid prototyping, content generation, and design iteration.
Conduct lightweight user research as needed - including usability tests and interviews - to validate design decisions and uncover user needs; Design for full user flows, error states, and edge cases with a focus on clarity, usability, and driving adoption of key product features.
Present and defend design decisions at weekly design critiques, incorporating feedback to continuously improve your work.
Build deep subject matter expertise across both products to inform design decisions grounded in user behavior and real-world security workflows.
Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of UX design experience; or Master’s degree with 3+ years; or equivalent work experience.
A strong portfolio demonstrating hands-on design execution for complex, data-dense, or technical Saa S products - experience in security, networking, or enterprise software is a significant plus.
Expert proficiency with Figma and standard design tools; demonstrated ability to work efficiently within an established design system.
Experience conducting lightweight user research - usability testing, interviews, or observational studies - and translating findings into actionable design improvements.
Familiarity with AI tools used in UX workflows such as generative design assistants, AI-powered prototyping, or automated research synthesis; a curiosity for adopting new tools that improve speed and quality.
Strong communication skills with the ability to present design rationale clearly to Product and Engineering partners and incorporate critique constructively.
A track record of shipping high-quality, production-ready designs consistently and on time.
