The Company Barracare operates within the residential children’s homes sector. The organisation provides vulnerable children care at the highest level and has an ambitious growth strategy to achieve this on a regional scale.
The Home Our homes are based in Calderdale in the town of Todmorden and Lancashire in the town of Brierfield, and accommodate up to four children with challenging behaviours and emotional difficulties.

The Individual We’re looking for caring, sociable and energetic individuals. The role is demanding so you’ll need to be resilient and patient. Experience of working with young people in a similar setting is ideal. We’re particularly interested in male, as well as female candidates, of all ages; providing a diverse range of role models for the children in our care. Successful applicants are required to undergo an enhanced DBS disclosure, provide satisfactory references and be able to demonstrate they have the qualities to succeed in this sector.
