As a key player in the site's daily operations, you will be responsible for moving, stacking, and organising heavy shipping containers in a fast-paced logistics environment.This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled heavy plant operator looking for steady, long-term work with an established maritime and terminal operator.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a 45-tonne reachstacker / toplifter to load and unload container ships, trains, and HGVs.
- Stack and organize ISO shipping containers up to 5-6 tiers high in the terminal yard.
- Perform daily pre-operational safety inspections on the machinery.
- Work closely with the yard planning team via two-way radio to ensure efficient container movement.
- Strictly follow terminal safety guidelines and maintain high situational awareness at all times.
