Barr Beacon are seeking to appoint an Assistant Caretaker to support the Site team at the Academy. The role will include ensuring the security, cleanliness, maintenance and safety of the premises, building facilities, and the wider site. The successful candidate will be required to complete tasks such as portage duties, moving furniture and equipment around the school and opening and closing the school site.

To be successful for the role, the candidate will have the below experience and skills:

  • Able to complete all physical requirements of the role e.g. lifting furniture, standing for long periods of time;
  • Be an effective team worker;
  • Have a friendly, professional and respectful approach which demonstrates support and a commitment to providing a quality service;
  • Able to solve problems and respond to unforeseen circumstances e.g. hazards, accidents.
