Live-in Chef position at The Jovial Sailor, Ripley, Woking, Surrey, GU23 6EZ
Experienced CDP / Chef de Partie. Accommodation is provided with this position - £95 per week, double room in a flat above the Pub with shared kitchen and bathroom. Earn up to £15 per hour (basic rate + service charge tronc).
Barons Pubs are an independent, fresh food Pub / Restaurant group with 11 sites across Surrey, Sussex and Berkshire. The Horseshoe is a busy, characterful pub with large beer garden, patio, outside dining and full table service restaurant.

Responsibilities include:
- Taking ownership of the section you are allocated – prepping, cooking, plating dishes to the Company specifications
- To maintain the highest standard of food preparation, cooking and storage at the site
- Take an active role in cost reduction, control of resources and portion control
- Working in line with Barons’ Food Safety and Health & Safety requirements, policies and procedures – effectively contributing to maintaining a safe working environment
- Effectively communicating with the Kitchen and FOH teams
- Assisting with the mentoring and training of Commis Chefs and Kitchen Porters
- Working with the Head Chef to meet Barons key business objectives: that the site will be run professionally, profitably, efficiently, and compliantly
